The Sky is Falling

Last night as I was trying to clean up before bedtime routine, the little ones were in the backyard riding bikes and jumping on the trampoline. All of a sudden they come running into the house saying they saw lights in the sky and it scared them. I asked if it was a bright star or an airplane, but it wasn't the case. I went out to look and there was one of those bright spotlights that companies shine into the night sky to atract attention. Well, it got theirs... they thought aliens were coming - too much Chicken Little, I guess.

I finished cleaning up and we jumped into the van searching for what put the bright lights into the sky. What an adventure for them. We pulled into the car dealership that was having an all night sale-a-thon (yawn!) And there were four huge lights circling around shining bright lights up into the sky. The girls had to jump out of the van to get a closer look. They thought it was SO cool and had to conceed that aliens were not coming to get them (although I still can't convince them bears could not get into their bedroom without someone else seeing it happen).

Oh the joys, wonderment and adventures of little minds.
