Tonight David and I went to a creche exhibit that was amazing. Over 500 nativities from 65 countries. How incredible to see and know that a child born in a manger thousands of years ago has penetrated into every nation and many, many hearts. These nativities were made from every medium you can think of... every kind of wood, glass, clay and metal... paint, fabric and yarn... recycled ceramics and spokes... driftwood, shells and rocks... even chocolate. Amazing. What would those artists be thinking as they created a nativity depicting the birth of the savior. What a testimony it must have been to them. Amazing.
